This up and down duplex was once covered in crispy tiles. It was lovingly brought back to wooden siding in 1996.
The house uses forced air furnace. At present there is one smoker in the building. Once he leaves this will be a nonsmoking house. Pets with a pet agreement and pet security deposit are welcome as long as they can get along with everybody.
The main floor is about to undergo a major renovation beginning February 2010.

132-1132 Empress	Used as a two bedroom top floor suite or a one bedroom plus den. Hardwood floors in three rooms, lino or tiles elsewhere, but no old smelly carpets! Nice large, sunny kitchen. Claw-foot tub with shower. I am sure the bathroom was an afterthought so the ceiling is a little lower. Coin-op washer and dryer are located downstairs. This is a wooden structured house; therefore, toe walkers and day dwellers are welcome. Prefer non smoker; however there is one smoker living on the main floor in this forced-air furnace house. The long set of outside stairs make this unit not suitable for elderly dogs. Rent of $000 includes heat and hydro. Pets welcome with pet agreement. Currently Occupied
1-1132 Empress	This is the front room in the character house. Good lighting makes it suitable for plants. The fireplace is old and should only be used as a decorative feature. Share the kitchen and bathroom with three others. Everyone is good at cleaning up after themselves. The fridge in the picture has been replaced with a much more efficient bar type fridge. Your pet is welcome with the pet agreement. $435 per month includes heat, hydro and 3-tier cable. Currently Occupied
2-1132 Empress	A very large room. It was once the dining room to the original floor plan. There is a bit of stained glass above built-in sideboard. The large window faces South-west and gets plently of sun. Though the kitchen and bath in this house are shared the room is large enough to set up a dining area and a sleeping area. The original fir floor has been refinished. Currently Occupied
3-1132 Empress	1999 was the last time this unit was vacant. Due for renovations when smoker moves out. Currently Occupied
